Back for the second season, the water-resistant Mariners Boot is a CVO boot hybrid made of genuine Ventile duck canvas, a durable material developed to keep your feet comfortable and dry. Featuring a gusseted tongue, sealed seam construction, and extra rubber foxing provides protection from the elements.
SeaVees' custom contoured footbed is lined in soft cotton canvas providing comfort and airflow, while the exclusive herringbone moulded "grip lock" rubber outsole gives sure-footedness on land or at sea.
The Origin:
"The Mare Island Naval Shipyard was the first US Navy base established on the Pacific Ocean. In August 1969, the U.S. relocated its training operations from Coronado to Mare Island, California. The 08/69 is a reissue of the style known as "swim shoes" or "coral creepers" by Naval sea cadets during the era."
